About Anthony Mills MD Clinical Research
I have always been interested and involved in medical research. I started with a basic science research fellowship during medical school and continue today with a busy clinical research division. Clinical research keeps me on the cutting edge of medicine and allows me to provide my patients with the most up-to-date therapies possible for their medical needs. The majority of the research that we do focuses on men’s health. Studies deal with issues that my patients are struggling with. These include infectious diseases such as HIV and other sexually transmitted infections, cardiovascular disease including high cholesterol, endocrine disease including low testosterone and diabetes, and neurologic disease including neuropathy and changes in cognitive function. I have been the principle investigator in over 100 clinical trials in the past decade, many of which have led to presentations at national and international conferences and many of which have been published in peer reviewed medical journals. Currently we have 15 ongoing clinical trials with over 150 volunteers enrolled in our research studies.
I am so fortunate to have an amazing Clinical Research Team. They truly enable me to do the work that I do. Currently, the research team consists of:
Ron Knight, CCRP – the senior member of our research team and the leader of the research division (ron@tonymillsmd.com)
Elsa Gardner, RN, CCRP – our research nurse imported from New Zealand via the UK (elsa@tonymillsmd.com)
Paul Soto, CRC - the newest member of our team, a graduate of Columbia University with a B.A. in Biology (paul@tonymillsmd.com)
For information about ongoing clinical trials or studies that are actively enrolling, the research division can be reached directly by phone at (310) 550-2271 and by fax at (310) 550-7313
